About Tipilda

In my own words

My artistry is honest and adventurous, exploring emotions, stories and sounds without being confined by genre or expectation.

Finding my voice

I've always been involved in music. I was a choir girl in church and in high school, and I took every opportunity I could to sing in front of a crowd. At some point, though, I didn't see music as something I would pursue professionally. When I joined university, I struggled a little with socializing and spent an entire year writing instead. I'd picked up songwriting around the age of 13, and that year gave me the space to really develop and fall in love with the skill. I'm still perfecting it. Eventually, I made a conscious decision to put myself in spaces where I could grow as an artist and take my music seriously. I attended my first Sol Generation masterclass, started actively seeking out opportunities and creative spaces, and in 2025, I released my first single. Since then, I've been learning, experimenting and figuring out what Tipilda sounds and feels like.

Music that makes you feel

As cliché as it sounds, music became one of the ways I was best able to communicate my feelings. I've always been good with words and writing, but there was something about adding melody that really clicked for me. It felt like I wasn't just explaining how I felt — I could actually make someone else feel it too.

I want people to feel honest, real and free. Whether it's sadness, joy, anger, desire, promiscuity, love or anything in between, I want people to recognize those feelings within themselves without feeling like they have to overthink or explain them. I hope my music gives people permission to simply feel — whatever that feeling may be.

Making it my own

I think what makes my artistry different is my perspective and my approach to sound. I have a very specific ear for how I want sounds to come together, but I also like looking at familiar emotions and experiences from my own perspective. I'm not afraid to experiment with different influences while still making the music feel like me.

I love the ability to create. Music is a way of life for me, and every opportunity to make, share and experience it is honestly a dream come true.
